Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole daughter from Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. Her critically acclaimed role in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The other Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is well-known for her participation in a variety of noteworthy projects both domestically as well as internationally. These include British biographical films Control and The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historical miniseries Napoleon. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
